Seeking Experienced Wealth Management Professional  

Growing team seeks financial advisor or senior investment consultant to join an existing private wealth team, led by a leading portfolio manager with discretionary management of over $1 billion in assets for private clients. Ideal candidate has a track record of success in business development, and thrives on building a pipeline, as well as growing existing client relationships. Strong communication skills and the ability to operate in a team setting are a must. Target market is High Net Worth/Ultra High Net Worth wealth creators, entrepreneurs, and senior executives. Team has a strong knowledge of liquidity planning, liquidity events, intergenerational transfer of wealth, and investment acumen.

An ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience as a client-facing advisor in wealth management or private banking, with a focus on serving clients in the High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth segments. Additional relevant skills include business development, managing client service teams, and capital markets experience.


  • Leverage strong communication skills to build a wider network of clientele; target centers of influence, new business opportunities, and family offices, as well as other niche markets
  • Contact clients and prospective clients with relevant and timely information regarding market updates that may affect their investments; systematically communicate with prospective clients and track progress
  • Assist with analyses and preparation of prospective and current clients’ financial planning and investments; conduct in-depth client reviews to uncover new business opportunities
  • Monitor progress of new business opportunities with a consistent, disciplined, and systematic approach

The Person

The candidate should have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate both themselves and others to deliver high-quality work product, possibly within compressed timelines. The position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including select travel, and offers an attractive development path within the team.

The ideal candidate will have experience and attributes in the following areas:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an innate ability to build immediate rapport with personnel and clients
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and knowledge of related industry regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies to “power” complex and diverse advisor practices
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Self-motivated and determined, especially in seeking solutions for both clients and prospects

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA, JD, CFA, CIMA, or CFP preferred
  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Series 7 and 63 (or 66) Licenses
  • Expert knowledge of financial markets across various asset classes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player able to work in a collegial and collaboration environment
  • High integrity is vital on both the personal and professional level
