Observes current operations and processes, understands all elements influencing workflow, and works with interdisciplinary stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies. Establishes methodologies and metrics to monitor trends and identify problems that require solutions. Manages, plans, organizes and evaluates medical facility operating budgets and initiatives. Coordinates the monitoring and review of all applicable statistical and financial reports and metrics.

Job Responsibility

  • Aides in the execution of strategies approved by executive leadership; as required provides strategic insight and decision support.
  • Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assists in the oversight, mentorship, and training of Management Associate Program affiliates.
  • Researches and benchmarks best practice models to improve financial and operational efficiencies. Analyzes complex processes and assists in developing recommendations and solutions through best practices.
  • Provides data management support: collects data for review and analysis; prepares comparative analysis reports, including trending and improvement recommendations for review by senior leadership.
  • Assists in the coordination and management of hospital’s operating budgets.
  • Reviews completed operating budgets with finance administrators and makes recommendations, where appropriate, to improve budget efficiencies.
  • Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental work relationships to optimize operations.
  • Prepares monthly analysis of statistical financial reports.
  • Assists in the development of strategic business plans and profitability analysis.
  • Prepares, analyzes and maintains cost data as required for regulatory reporting, new program submissions, and union negotiations (when applicable).Conducts and assists in the presentation of fiscal education sessions and site orientation, as assigned.
  • Assists with performance improvement initiatives that may include, but not be limited to, reduction of bad debts, cost savings through process redesign and/or efficiencies, and revenue improvement opportunities.
  • Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, required.
