GTM is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant to handle general accounting and financial processes.

Individually and part of a team, this position ensures the company’s finances run smoothly by performing the following duties:Essential Functions:Bank Returns duties include responsibility for returns processing and collections of past due invoices, credit card denials, all client banking returns such as NSF and account issues.

Oversees and manages all accounts on credit hold.Accounts Receivable duties including handling receipt of cash and checks, recording sales receipts and depositing payments for various companies.

Manage business and household client A/R agings.Accounts Payable duties including vendor management, reviewing invoices, coding, classifying, G/L postings and processing checks all completed in a timely manner, handling all internal disbursement requests, vendor inquiries and vendor related issues, ensuring all company policies and procedures are being adhered.General Ledger responsibilities include allocating monthly credit card and other office expenses to proper departments, classifications and expense accounts utilizing expense management software, daily bank reconciliations and ledger audit reporting.Prepares agency and business referral commission reports and oversees timely payments.Maintains accuracy of records for yearend tax reporting.Trained as backup for Staff Accountant II and temporarily fill in as needed.Assists in preparing pertinent information for external accounting firm and auditors.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to perform basic accounting functions using automated system QuickBooksAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent problem solving and time management skills.Ability to communicate with vendors, clients, and other departments to support operations.Must be proficient in MS Office software Word, ExcelAbility to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentationMust be detail oriented and organizedAbility to work independently and in a team setting, adhere to company policies and proceduresExcellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and establish prioritiesMinimum Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or BusinessMinimum 2 years Accounting or Bookkeeping experience preferredSuccess Factors:Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignmentsExhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibilityGTM offers an extremely comprehensive benefits package including:MedicalDentalVisionConcierge Medical Service401k with company matchLife InsuranceGenerous paid time off policyBirthdays offFloating holidaysDependent care back-up serviceCasual FridaysMonthly happy hours and wellness eventsHoliday and summer events, and much more!!
