– Financial Modeler, Associate/Vice Presidentn nn New York, NY (1271 AOA/6th Ave) nn nn Banking Americas provides corporate and investment banking coverage, sponsor coverage, advisory and solutions and loan capital markets/syndicate to Mizuho’s client base of leading international corporations, financial institutions and public sector entities in the US and Canada.

nn nn Banking Americas supports client business activities throughout the region with an extensive range of capital markets and lending capabilities and an integrated team of coverage, advisory and product bankers responsible for client relationship management and strategic transaction development to execute banking and securities mandates and originate idea generation for potential acquisitions, divestitures and investment opportunities.

nn nn Project Finance – Power & Infrastructure (P&I) : nn nn P&I originates, structures and finances large-scale infrastructure projects such as renewable power, conventional power, transmission, roads, ports, social infrastructure and telecom infrastructure throughout the Americas.Debt financing markets of execution includes the syndicated bank market, syndicated loan capital markets, and the bond market, including 4(a)(2) private placement.P&I also originates and executes debt advisory mandates, as well as originate and support M&A and tax-equity advisory mandates.

Our clients include independent developers, as well as clients covered by sector coverage teams including Power & Utilities, Sponsor, Industrial and Technology, Media & Telecom (“TMT”).

nn This position will report directly to the Manager, who may delegate supervisory responsibilities for specific transactions and mandates .

Financial modeler with the experience and capabilities to develop fully functioning financial models for power and infrastructure assets and portfolio of assets that can be used for equity valuation, tax-equity investments and debt financing .

Financial modeling to support the origination and execution of M&A, infrastructure bid advisory, debt advisory, tax-equity financing advisory, and debt financing mandates in identified markets.

Knowledgeable with US GAAP and modeling of profit & loss statements, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.

Formal and informal training of existing and incoming staff across teams, which will include groups outside of Power & Infrastructure.The Modeler will develop the training program and protocol with the Manager and other teams as directed by the Manager .

Support of transaction teams will also include working with internal pricing and rating models, as well as contributing to credit analysis and credit submissions with cash flow sensitivity cases and analysis .

The position will also be responsible for auditing models provided by outside parties and clients of Mizuho.

Additional related assignments as directed by the Manager.

nn Qualifications:nn Education: Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university.MBA or dvanced quantitative education is a plus.

MS in a Financial Engineering / Computational Finance program from a renowned institution.

Experience: Between 8 to 10 years of financial modeling for power and infrastructure assets.

FINRA: Candidate will be required to obtain S7 or S79 and S63 licenses.Mizuho will support the selected candidate in obtaining the required licenses.
