Our team works with businesses and global functions to drive client strategy that address ESG trends and to determine factors that align with and support business goals.

nn nResponsibilities: n Drive client strategy, activities, and narrative to address ESG trends and factors that align with and support business goals Work with business lines and global functions to set ESG goals and KPIs in alignment with industry benchmarks and business goals Oversee materiality assessments and other internal and external benchmarking initiatives Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of client ESG initiatives and develop appropriate materials, presentations and reports to share progress with stakeholders (e.g., Board, C-suite; employees; investors; clients, customers, and consumers; suppliers; regulators; civil society organizations/NGOs; community members) Coordinate sustainability reporting process across all relevant internal client functions and external client vendors; work closely with Communications, Marketing, Purpose, and other groups to include ESG topics in external communications Participate in and, in some cases, manage client internal working groups Research and recommend for consideration potential partnerships, memberships, third party validators and organizational commitments related to ESG on behalf of clients Consolidate ESG materials (articles, memos) in a centralized repository on an on-going basis for delivery to clients Develop comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communications plans, with ability to execute across all communications channels and formats (e.g., slide presentations; financial and non-financial reports; websites; social media; investor decks, investor days; shareholder engagement materials; employee engagement via intranet, blogs, etc.; client-hosted events and external conferences, panels, etc.) Build ESG platforms and thought leadership for C-suite and Board members nBasic Qualifications:n The Account Executive must have 3 years of relevant experience in ESG and/or related fields.  nPreferred Qualifications:n Able to drive initiatives without authority (patient, persistent, and personable – with presence) Strong communicator and translator; able to tune in and speak the language of different internal client functions and external client stakeholders Comfortable with ambiguity; able to make well-considered recommendations and decisions in a rapidly changing landscape Change agent; likes new challenges and getting out of comfort zone Experience overseeing critical ESG activities and workstreams such as (but not limited to) materiality assessments, strategy development and ESG reporting Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience Ability to perform well under pressure and be an optimistic and committed team player ESG reporting at a public company ESG consulting work (For TA – Big 4 preferred such as PwC, Accenture) Asset manager experience (institutional or PE) in ESG integration and/or investment stewardship Experience working at an ESG reporting framework and/or standard-setting organization (TCFD, SASB, CDP) or data provider/ranker/rater (MSCI, Sustainalytics, IHS Markit) Useful certifications: SASB; GRI #LI-SL1 nn Edelman is a global communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations.
