Job Description: The Department of Public Administration in the College of Community and Public Affairs at Binghamton University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment to begin fall 2020.

The Department of Public Administration’s NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration (MPA) program provides students with opportunities to specialize in local government management, nonprofit management, sustainable communities, and genocide and mass atrocity prevention.

Several dual and accelerated degree options are also available for students.

We welcome applications from individuals who are prepared to teach at least two core courses in the MPA program and will contribute to strengthening the public policy offerings and a proposed MPP program in the department as part of a teaching load that is equivalent of two 4-credit courses per semester.

Competitive candidates will be active scholars and effective teachers.

Demonstrated expertise in development policy and/or educational policy is desired.

Demonstrated ability to independently conduct quantitative and/or mixed methods research is preferred.

About College of Community and Public Affairs at Binghamton University: Binghamton University’s College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA), is composed of five departments
– Human Development, Public Administration, Social Work, Student Affairs Administration, and Teaching, Learning and Educational Leadership, as well as an Interdisciplinary doctoral program in Community Research and Action.
