Assembly & Test Technician

Tactair Fluid Controls, Inc.

This is a Full-time position in Town Of Salina, NY posted November 30, 2019.

Summary: Assembles and tests aerospace components to include hydraulic and pneumatic valves and actuators, using tools and equipment in accordance with company and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities: Performs the assembly operation according to the drawing, shop traveler, assembly instruction and other instructions.

Ensure parts and material are handled properly and protected.

Performs test(s) required for preliminary evaluation of the component or subassemblies and acceptance test of final assemblies as specified in the shop traveler and/or assembly instructions and record test results on test data sheet.

If discrepancies occur during the test operation, advises supervisor, group leader, or other designated person and requisitions replacement parts as necessary.

Provides proper identification of assemblies after the test operation is completed.

This includes the part number, serial number (if applicable) and information (work order) as directed.

Performs post-assembly and test activities as necessary to tear down the set-up or to otherwise restore equipment readiness for use.

Properly stores tooling, fixtures and gauges.

Picks-up, sweeps, or removes any debris, residue or any foreign material located in or around a part, components or assembly as soon as physically possible after the operation takes place.

Maintains a clean uncluttered work area and takes precautions against the introduction of foreign objects into components and assemblies.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High School Graduate.

Experience with the use of precision measuring devices.

Experience reading blueprints; electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics advantageous.

Mechanical ability and manual dexterity.

Ability to lift 35 lbs.
