The Cloud Systems Architect (CSA) is a responsible and trusted member of the Infrastructure Team, relied upon to provide exceptional services and solutions that make a visible and valued contribution to Learfield IMG College.

As a member of the Infrastructure Team, the CSA will be responsible for the deployment, management and troubleshooting of complex hybrid cloud managed services.RESPONSIBILITIES:Support and improve existing on-premise, Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure, and AWS Cloud InfrastructureDesign and implement new on-premise and Cloud systems while implementing best practices and industry standards to meet business requirementsMigrate on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure cloudConfigure Microsoft Azure monitoring and alerts for cloud resource availabilityManage on-premises and cloud-based Windows and Linux virtual serversWork closely with application development and data engineer teams on day-to-day tasks along with project planning and implementationQUALIFICATIONS:Requirements:Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure with minimum of 4+ years of supporting and maintain an Azure cloud infrastructure8+ years progressive working in a Windows domain infrastructureIn-depth experience in automation (Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code), automation, Orchestration, and management of both on-premises infrastructure and applications, cloud hosted Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service capabilities (Azure) including virtual networks, virtual machines, and data services.Working knowledge of at least one configuration management tool, such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, or PuppetProficient in development of Powershell scripts as it relates to Azure, AD, and O365Proven experience managing a VMware virtualized server environment including ESX host administration.Comprehensive understanding of current network hardware, protocols, security best practices, and threat protectionStrong documentation and oral communication skillsHighly self-motivated and directedEffective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skillsAttention to detailProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentOn-call availabilitySitting for extended periods of timeAbility to work in confined spaces, operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand/power tools, and climbing of laddersLifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripheralsSome travel is requiredPreferences:Experience with monitoring tools, such as Application Insights, Microsoft Operations Manager Education, Certifications and/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 8 years successful experience (high school diploma and professional certification(s) can be substituted for education)8+ years of experience supporting on-premise and cloud environments
