To learn more about us, please visit us at httpwww.clarapath.com About the Role The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be working on medical device development as part of a tight knit development team. This role will be designing and selecting parts for the instrument as well as designing test fixtures for development providing continuous feedback on the development process and accept feedback as well. The ideal candidate would have work experience in being part of engineering team building a medical device. We are looking for a team player who views medical device development as a competitive advantage. What you ll do Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management. Designing precision motion stages and components, electromechanical system parts and assemblies in CAD environment Generating drawings for parts and assemblies Documentation Modeling and simulation of design components, such as, dynamic system modeling, kinematic modeling, structural, and thermal analysis. Building prototypes Finding and managing vendors for prototyping and manufacturing Creating test fixtures including instrumenting with data acquisition systems and programming Unit and system testing of prototype designs Role may require some travel Our Perfect Candidate Education and Experience BSc. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering or in an equivalent area 5-10 years of experience in the field. SolidWorks experience Design experience precision automation Competency in designing large electromechanical system components Proven design record Analytical problem solution skills, such as modeling and simulations Other Experiences and Knowledge Working with teams in multiple sites Involvement in automation related extracurricular activities, such as, First Robotics, Graduate degree in a related field with dissertation Additive manufacturing, such as 3D printing Histology laboratory workflow experience Required Abilities and Skills Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Flexibility to work in a changing and fast paced environment Drive, determination and ability to hit aggressive milestonesdeadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Company Offers Competitive salary will commensurate with experience and education Comprehensive benefits package available (healthcare, vision, dental and life insurances 401k PTO and holidays) A collaborative and diverse work environment where our teams thrive on solving complex challenges.
