If you have questions about the position, you may contact the recruiter recruiting for this position ( ) however your resume must be received via the “submit now” button included within.nn nn Summary: nn nnMechanical Engineer, reporting to the TCO (Technical Cost Out Manager) manager, you will work within a dedicated cross-functional Lean focused team on cost saving projects on the company’s vast array of direct material across all manufacturing sites.nn nnThe primary role of the position is mechanical engineering.

While a successful candidate should have a very good understanding of mechanical engineering and the company’s products and processes, this candidate will also be working in the following areas as part of the cross functional team:nn Project Scoping / Management Review of design inputs and outputs.

QA / RA policies and regulations Design Verification and Validation Lean initiatives nn Key Responsibilities: nn Work on TCO projects with a focus on projects which require a high degree of mechanical engineering knowledge from prototyping though implementation of the project into operations.

Analyze, modify and create mechanical designs for TCO projects and prove the success of the designs against agreed / established specification using sound engineering principles and statistical analysis.

Work with the other DMACS team members to coordinate project activities to ensure all required tasks are close effectively and to agreed project times lines.

Work with the DMACS team on the Lean office initiative to speed up project times line, identify and correct flow defects, working on A3 problem solving initiatives and participate in Kaizen events as required.

Be a role model for Lean throughout the organization.

nn nn nn Required Background: nn Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.

2-4 years of mechanical engineer experience with some level of project management experience.

Experience with Pro E and the SAP / Pro E interface.

Ability to analyze, modify and create mechanical designs.

Strong working knowledge of statistical analysis Have applied experience in the following applications: MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio SAP as it applied to TCO project activities nnDIR, BOM, Routing, Q Routing, RIP’s creation / modification, BCR / ECR Process and MMDSnn Working knowledge of Medical Device Design Controls.

Familiarity with plastics, injection molding, mold design and failure analysis.

Flexible team player who is organized, dependable, proactive and with strong communication skills.
