Research Program Coordinator (Cure-19), Global Health

Healing made personal.Roles & Responsibilities:The CURE-19 Associate Researcher will be based in the Department of Health System Design and Global Health (“Department”) and the Arnhold Institute for Global Health (“Institute”) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS).

They will work closely with and report directly to the Research Program Manager at the Department and Institute to support COVID-19 research activities in the CURE-19 unit.

The position will be based at the Institute in New York City.Work includes tasks across the research continuum, from supporting grant and project development, ethics and regulatory approval, project implementation and monitoring, data collection and analysis.

There will also be opportunities to participate in dissemination of findings through presentations and manuscripts.

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about biomedical research and has the desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic academic research environment.

They will need to be highly motivated and able to work independently.Duties:* Serve as Liaison between Department and Institute Faculty and relevant Elmhurst Hospital Staff* Support the development of grants to sponsors, including preparation of comprehensive literature reviews, relevant background sections, and completion of administrative and other grant-related documents.

The individual will work directly with the Institute Grants Manager and Investigative teams to prepare budgets needed for grant applications* Assist in the preparation, submission, and management of IRB applications, study-related documents, and correspondences at the Mount Sinai IRB and Elmhurst Hospital Regulatory program* Assist in the preparation, submission, and management of grants and contracts with the Grant and Contracts Office* Support data management and data analysis activities, including data entry, verification, or data cleaning for research projects.

Develop basic database construction skills in REDCap* Lead the preparation process for any required study reports, abstracts, and presentations in close collaboration with Principal Investigators and study team members at the Department and Institute at ISMMS and Elmhurst Hospital* Manage correspondences and other administrative duties across all areas of projects, including maintaining a secure and regularly updated database of all study-related documents and materials* Provide administrative support for the CURE-19 unit and Principal Investigators’ research project activities, including recording minutes from research calls, scheduling project team calls and meetings, arranging for audiovisual needs, and other duties as neededRequirements:* Bachelor’s degree; Master’s in a health-related discipline preferred* Database management software (e.g., REDCap) preferred* Analytic software
