View our Covid-19 Resources Page at:https://info.Uhg.Com/Primary Responsibilities:Pre register and / or register patients according to departmental policy and procedureEnter patient information and charges into appropriate systemProvide patients with all pertinent information and obtain appropriate signatures on medical, legal and financial formsVerify financial / insurance information using appropriate database retrieval systemsProvide guidance and assistance to patients and staff members with regard to insurance regulationsAccept payment from patients; reconcile cash paymentsand provide appropriate feedback to Supervisor regarding various payment and / or cash issuesDirect patients to appropriate areas following registrationPerform various related clerical duties supporting department operations including, but not limited to, answering telephone maintaining files, scanning, keeping inventory of supplies, and informing management of all activities, needs and problemsMaintain current knowledge base regarding insurance information and managed care guideline; maintain knowledge baseof designated networks based upon managed care contracts in order to provide assistance to patientsDemonstrate ability to utilize data retrieval insurance eligibility systemsParticipate in quality control activitiesReview, assess and evaluate patient registrations to ensure accuracy of demographic and financial information; and correct erroneous registrations and inform SupervisorPerform related duties, as requiredYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED (or higher)1 years of in person customer service experience experience including, but not limited to: hospital, physician’s office, medical clinic, hospitality, banking, retail, etc.Familiarity with computers and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applicationsMust be available to work full time, 37.5 hours per week, 11 PM to 7 AM, various days and flexible with weekly scheduleAbility to work a training shift of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, for 4 5 weeks until training is completeYou will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this roleEmployees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.E., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.

Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.
