This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a fun, entrepreneurial, start-up team where you can have outsized impact — all under the Airbnb umbrella.As Senior Manager, HotelTonight Field Operations, you will be an essential member of the HotelTonight leadership team. Your team will be comprised of Market Managers, Partner Managers and Market Operations professionals who are focused on driving best-in-industry relationships with hotels. You will guide them to their revenue goals and provide support to help achieve career goals. You will also be responsible for HotelTonight’s supply strategy and will be accountable for hitting revenue goals and OKRs.You will also serve as a bridge to the Airbnb Hosting Geos leadership team to ensure hotels on both platforms have a first class experience as a result of the tight collaboration you foster between HotelTonight and Airbnb. As the chief evangelist for hotels internally, you will inspire the team and cross functional partners to rally around major supply initiatives. Externally, you will support your team to build key relationships and growth on HT’s platform. At the same time, you should be an independent operator – comfortable with defining what success will look like for yourself and your team — then empowering your team to hit their goals.Responsibilities* Drive thought leadership, operational rigor and strategic direction for HotelTonight’s supply portfolio of direct hotels, chains, affiliate relationships and supply operations* Inspire, motivate and lead a team of Market Managers, Partner Managers, Market Operations and Revenue Operations who are responsible for identifying and managing partner relationships with hotels* Focus on the top priorities and strategic goals to drive and impact the overall HotelTonight business* Create, collaborate and influence strategy that permeates supply, product and marketing* Monitor daily operations such as meeting or exceeding revenue goals, bringing on new quality partners, driving up supply business KPIs, along with measuring partner engagement and performance* Share strategic insights to educate executives on trends in the hotel industry* Serve as a leader and mentor to the team, supporting career development* Coordinate quarterly forecasting, planning and reporting sessions in order to define and execute your strategy* Conduct market visits to support your team in growing hotel partnerships. Step in to help drive major hotel/group negotiations in support of your team* Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance) to implement innovative ideas in the mobile travel spaceRequirements* 10+ years of professional experience, with a focus on owning client relationships and business strategy* 5+ years of direct management experience* Online marketplace team management experience preferred* Hospitality or Travel industry experience is a plus* Undergraduate degree required* Success in effectively coaching, mentoring and guiding junior & senior team members* Proven track record leading complex and/or cross-functional projects from start to finish* Experience managing senior stakeholders externally or internally to the business* Capacity to balance day-to-day responsibilities with longer term strategic execution* Ability to think analytically and make data driven decisions* You are fast-acting (focused on results over process) and forward-looking* You are able to operate as “player/coach” if needed and dive into market management duties to get the job done* You thrive in a collaborative environment but can also prioritize and manage yourself to get things done with minimal oversight* Flexibility to travel 25% of the time
