The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is seeking HR Generalist with payroll experience.

The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management.

This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding procedures, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, employment law compliance, and offboarding procedures.

Summary Position Description: Payroll administration – which includes maintaining and updating the PAYCHEX payroll platform, processing semi-monthly payroll, and end of year payroll administration like reviewing w-2s.

Produce payroll and HR reports as requested Maintain Payroll and Tax records Manage 403(b) and other Pension deductions Ensure proper onboarding and offboarding procedures, including new hire mandated notices and exit interviews.

Responsible for open enrollment and continues benefits administration Communicate with and assist employees in payroll, benefits inquiries, and policy.

Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and City labor laws, including payroll regulations Complete, Produce, or Review any necessary Federal or State Reports Monitor Time Sheets Reconcile all benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision Manage paid vacations, sick days, and overtime Properly handle Worker’s Comp claims and issues Ensure correctness of W2 and assist with 1099 and other tax records and reports Maintain Personnel records Qualifications: College Degree plus at least 5 years of experience working in HR/Payroll Experience in Payroll and HR Management, including being part of a payroll system change Experience in a multi-state employer environment Full understanding and capability to comply with Federal and multiple State labor and tax laws Excellent organizational skills High attention to detail and confidentiality Strong understanding of HR Administration Experience with working in benefit platforms like Liazon and Wageworks Compensation: The Greek Archdiocese of America offers a very good PTO package.
