Ensure that all legislation, regulatory and other requirements relating to the importation and exportation of commercial shipments are met.nn nnEnsure timely flow of import & domestic products through import/export process: Customs clearance and delivery to EF Distribution Center, 3PLs, Global Accounts and Stores; pre
– and post
– entry compliance with customs and OGA (Other Governmental Agencies).nn nnThe position can be based in Irvington, NY or Secaucus, NJ.nn nnDuties and Responsibilities:nn nnLogisticsnn nnFacilitate shipments of materials and finished goods from production locations to designated locations by EFnn nnManagement of Air and Sea shipment bookingsnn nnNegotiate rates and service levelsnn nnCreate and maintain transit tables for all origins all modes of transportationnn nnManage relationship with freight service providersnn nnExplore Logistics strategies for new and emerging marketsnn nnAnalyze freight data to find cost saving opportunitiesnn nnArrangement of transportation for sea, air and truck shipmentsnn nnShipment track & trace, and making delivery arrangementsnn nnResolve in transit operational issuesnn nnEnsure on time deliverynn nnManage processing of shipments in ERP system.nn nnEnsure packing lists are processed timely and accuratelynn nnMonitor EDI ASN for errors, troubleshoot with origin, internal teams and IT for solutionnn nnActively communicate with all outside vendors for unknown delivery dates.nn nnDirect connection with Freight Forwarders, Couriers, Customs Broker and Trucking companies.nn nnReceive, review, approve and voucher freight, duty and trucking invoices.nn nnTrade/ Customs Compliancenn nnAssist with Seasonal Line Review, including HTS Classification and NAFTA/TPL updates in ERP.nn nnPre/Post-audit of all import documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.nn nnAssist with Duty Drawback & First Sale transactions and other compliance projects.nn nnAdministrativenn nnFiling & clerical duties as needed.nn nnData entry into ERP system.nn nnOther related duties and assignments as required.nn nnRequired Experiencenn nnEducation:nn nn4-year college degree preferrednn nnRequired Experience:nn nn2-4 years experience with Import /Export operations & Customs Compliance regulations.nn nnFamiliarity with import/export process, air and ocean transportation, trucking, US Customs & OGAnn nnKnowledge of Incoterms, Customs Rules and Regulations, HTS Classification Codesnn nnMS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)nn nnBlue Cherry ERP knowledge is a plus.nn
