Brown & Brown is looking for a Marketing Representative to join our Employee Benefits team in Rochester, NY!

This individual will partner with our sales and service team in the preparation of marketing proposals and renewal material for new and existing clients!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Work with Producers and benefits staff to ensure completion of all Group renewals and marketing’s, including meeting attendance

  • Obtain quotes and claims experience from various carriers.

  • Assemble in draft and final form request for proposals and summary of all marketing proposals

  • Individual should be a subject matter expert with regard to benefit programs, and must work in tandem with the Producers and Account Managers to implement strategies relative to placement of insurance

  • Handle a diverse range of insurance products in the Life and Employee Benefit arena

  • Ability to lead the implementation process for new lines of coverage or change in carrier

  • Ability to present marketing results to the client

  • Responsible to direct carrier negotiations on behalf of the benefits team in regards to marketing and placement of coverage with direction from Producer

  • Daily contact with Insurance carriers and authority in decision making and negotiations on behalf of the benefit team and clients

  • Work with Producers and account managers to complete monthly carrier reporting and to develop proposals for potential new accounts and new products

  • Set up and maintain Group Agency files, assist with the maintenance of the Group Accounts within AMS.

  • Attend all departmental service meetings.

  • Assist with training of new Group Marketing Representatives

  • Assist with implementation of new group/carrier business

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 3+ years of generalist employee benefits experience.

  • Active Life Accident and Health Insurance License.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.

  • Strong proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, required
