Henkel: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Understand criticality of equipment and escalate accordingly to leadershipRepair, adjustments and machinery maintenance, building equipment, and systems within the plant such as motors, pumps, valves, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors, boilers, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.Request and specify fabrication of parts and custom equipment by machinist.

Use of manual lathes, mills, grinders etc for minor modificationsComplete project involved with plumbing, welding, machinery disassembly and reassembly, and carpentryRO system maintenance and monitoring and wastewater system maintenance and monitoringRespond to and assist during plant emergencies as part of the Emergency Response TeamPerforms other duties as required YOUR SKILLSHigh school diploma or its equivalent required.

Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is preferred 0-3 years of proven experience in the, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areasExperience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMust be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshootingWilling to work any shift and overtime as required.

High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances requiredAbility to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair workMust be highly safety conscious.

Exposed to high voltage electricityThe position could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Must be able to reach, lift, bend and stoop without restrictions.
