– answering the phone, making appointments, and taking paymentsn Assist veterinarian in appointments
– patient restraint, obtain patient history, etcn Record patient vital signsn Administer medications (oral, IM, IV, etc.) and other patient treatmentsn Perform venipuncture and place IV cathetersn Obtain patient radiographsn Perform in-house laboratory tests
– CBC and blood chemistry, urinalysis, ear and skin cytologyn Induce and monitor anesthesian Perform canine and feline dental cleaningsn Obtaining dental radiographsn Educate clients about various aspects of animal healthn Maintain patient records using EzyVet practice management softwaren n n Responsibilitiesn n In Addition to Mastering the General Veterinary Technician Responsibilities Listed Above the Lead Veterinary Technician Will Be Responsible for The Followingn Train, supervise, and assist the Assistants/Technicians.n Assist doctors with outpatient appointments and surgical/dental procedures.n Collect and appropriately process laboratory samples.n Collaborate with Veterinarians to develop training courses for staff members and maintain certification records for all clinic staff members.n Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored.n Assess clinic inventory and review ordering schedule for medications and supplies.n Maintain accurate documentation of patient files and updated plan of care.n Able to effectively communicate updates and direct new product roll outs and/ or SOPs.n n n Qualificationsn Recent General Practice Experience.n 3+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician working in small animal medicine/ surgery.n Must have experience assisting doctors with dental procedures, including monitoring vitals, performing routine cleanings independently, obtaining dental radiographs, and providing hands-on assistance with extractions.n Strong customer service and communication skills required.n Knowledge of modern veterinary medicine and the ability to assist with specialty surgical procedures.n n n About My Pets Wellnessn n My Pets Wellness is a veterinarian-founded team redesigning the culture of veterinary medicine.
