About The Position: The School of Education, Health, and Human Services prepares students for successful entry into their profession. We focus on an ethical approach to human well-being and encourage critical thinking and practical application. The Communication Sciences & Disorders Department provides an academic and clinical professional education for students whose primary goal is to serve children and adults who have impairments of communication and swallowing. Our program has a proud history of preparing qualified Speech-Language Pathologists and audiologists in the field of communication sciences and disorders. The successful candidate of this 10-month, tenure-track position will be committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in area(s) of interest and expertise such as Neurogenics, Dysphagia, Motor Speech Disorders, or Phonetics, Speech Sound Disorders and Social/Cognitive Aspects of Communication. This position also includes supervision of students in the on-campus Speech and Hearing Center as well research/scholarship, and service to the department and college. As an institution that delivers challenging and high-quality educational experiences to a diverse group of learners, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues.
