As Head of Growth, you will be responsible for executing the company’s user acquisition and retention strategy.

You will own the customer journey, partnering with a cross-functional team of marketing, analytics, product, and engineering team members to drive revenue and adoption for a platform used by millions of people around the world to share, connect and ignite action.

This role is for individuals who are innately driven to have a huge impact on their company’s revenue and growth.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced growth hacker, who brings a unique combination of creativity and analytical rigor to every endeavor.

Bitly has a ubiquitous brand that drives 8+ million monthly website visits (through direct and organic search) and has an installed base of 2.5+ million monthly active users on its free platform.

Responsibilities
Develop Bitly’s growth strategy and roadmap for all stages in the funnel Own user acquisition, user retention, and all parts of the customer journey, working closely with cross-functional teams to launch effective growth and adoption strategies  Implement data-driven and creative experiments to identify new opportunities and enhance velocity though the entire funnel  Leverage data to generate quantitative and qualitative insights that enhance the customer journey Partner with Marketing to execute paid, owned, and earned activities that complement Bitly’s installed base of organic traffic and users Connect user acquisition and retention to the company’s branding strategy, content goals, and product positioning to create unified messaging across all communication channels Perform customer segmentation analysis and find new ways to optimize those customer segments across multiple channels Work closely with Bitly’s leadership team to inform company strategy, prioritization, competitive positioning, and market communication  Partner with the Product & Engineering team to build growth loops that shape the platform and customer experience  Partner with the BI & Analytics team to analyze (and act on) launch reports that include user behavior analysis, acquisition funnel insights, unit economics, and other KPIs Design, hire and lead a talented growth team Build a strong culture of growth experimentation Become a visible leader in a fast-paced, high-growth company
Must Haves
5-10 years growth and acquisition leadership experience for a SaaS software, ecommerce, consumer application, or similar high-growth technology company Previous experience in growing adoption from thousands to hundreds of thousands paid customers Proven experimental approach and analytical foundation & mindset Strong knowledge and experience with “AARRR” framework Track record of leveraging brand positioning and storytelling Knowledge of SEO, email and drip marketing, referral and partnership programs, viral loops and other user acquisition strategies  Experience connecting user acquisition and retention strategies to content marketing, word of mouth amplification, and community development Comfort with managing multiple simultaneous projects and campaigns Experience motivating and challenging teams and individuals at all levels of an organization, both directly and cross-functionally Strong communication and leadership skills Incredible resourcefulness and empathy to guide teams toward decisions  Curiosity to learn and collaborate with your colleagues  Desire to act and get great things done!
