Investor Client Management is a team that sits across the Markets & Platform business, and is responsible for managing our relationships with priority accounts, including hedge funds, asset managers, insurers and pension funds.

The Analyst/Associate will work on the global account management team, as a Junior Relationship Manager (JRM) within Investor Client Management.

The goal of our team and the JRM is to assist Senior Relationship Managers with our two-fold mandate:
Act as a point of contact for our priority ICM accounts, often at a C-suite level, to help them navigate the resources of our franchise and ensure they receive a differentiated, premium level of service at JPM Grow our market share and revenues with this set of clients, by identifying strategic opportunities, and ensuring execution.

As a JRM focusing on Insurance, you will be responsible for supporting two senior relationship managers who cover the chief investment officers of large life insurer clients, assisting in compiling and creating four major client peer analyses, and assisting in the planning and production of our annual Chief Investment Officer roundtable.

In addition, you would be responsible for any internal account management work both in insurance as well as sometimes in asset manager or other segments.

Core responsibilities include:

• Proactively assisting two senior relationship managers who coverage insurance clients; Creating presentation materials and attending meetings with ICM clients’ CIOs, C-Suites, Management Committees and Boards of Directors

• Gaining an in-depth understanding of our insurance clients as well as the industry overall in order to strategically position JPMorgan as first call, best-in-class advisor and service provider;

• Working effectively with internal partners across markets, platform, credit, and banking;

• Developing and maintaining industry and market expertise to maximize the client’s business strategy;

• Staying abreast of changes in the market, regulatory and technological landscape.

An ideal candidate either has some background in insurance or experience in accounting, credit or structured products.

Additionally, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Possess strong client-facing skills and able to interact at all levels of a client organization (especially C-suite);

• Possess strategic, creative and problem solving skills solid written and verbal communication skills Have an understanding of financial markets and products or a desire to learn about them
• Have an understanding of the insurance and asset management industries or a desire to learn about those industries;

• Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, team building and planning skills;

• Have ability to explain and translate complex ideas and topics for audiences with diverse technical backgrounds;

• VBA Proficiency or prior programming background;

• Quick thinking and able to work with individuals with a variety of communication styles and ways of thinking.

Candidates with prior insurance experience preferred, as are candidates with suitable sales/financial markets experience.
