What does an Internal Auditor at CNB do?

What competencies are needed to be successful in this role? 

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting.  Equivalent education and work experience will be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret, analyze and report information.
  • Proficient writing and grammar skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with a PC and associated programs (such as Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to build relationships with departments and levels within the organization.
  • Ability to learn quickly and independently handle assignments in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

What does a successful first year in this position look like? 

  • Able to jump right in and learn the CNB Audit function.
  • Build relationships with a variety of departments and managers 
  • Gain understanding of banking regulations, laws, and CNB policies & procedures.
  • Complete assigned audits from beginning to end.  Prepare necessary reports.
  • Able to identify risks within the organization and design testing attributes to evaluate controls.
  • Examines functions and reviews procedures/processes for internal controls and compliance with regulations.
