IT Server Engineer


This is a Full-time position in Brooklyn, NY posted January 10, 2022.

IT Server Engineer – Multi-year government project – Brooklyn, NY (Onsite work is required)

Duration: 3 years+ contract (multi-year project)
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Walking distance from the subway station)

* The role/position will support the LRP effort by working with vendors to address any part of the proposed solution that will be required to be developed within the Client’s network and infrastructure such as servers, SaaS cloud solutions, application installation/configuration, and engineering working with automation tools (UIPath).
* Functional support will also be required in developing, implementing and maintaining the data bridging effort throughout the entire life cycle of the project.
* The technician will be required to engineer, design, and/or implement technical solutions to business problems which they will then administer, monitor, and maintain, working with minimal supervision and in a project team environment.
* They will be responsible for troubleshooting problems and researching solutions independently, clearly documenting installation and configuration steps, and if possible developing automation scripts to carry out routine fixes.
* The person will be required to work overtime upon request.

* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems or a field related to the essential functions. A combination of formal education, professional certifications, and directly related work experience may substitute for the degree.
* Following is a list of technologies in which the individual should be proficient, and will be required to support: Windows 10, VMWare, Citrix virtual applications and desktops (VDIs), Windows Server 2012 and 2016 (including Active Directory, DNS, FTP, WSUS, and Group Policies), printers and print server administration, IBM Websphere, Office365 (including InTune, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online), and a number of 3rd party products.


* Manage and configure web servers such as IIS, Tomcat, and IBM WebSphere – AzureAD/Office365 configuration and provisioning.
* Server virtualization/upgrades/configuration (including a focus on volumetrics and capacity forecasting).
* Salesforce administration.
* SCCM administration.
* Citrix VDI imaging.
* Powershell scripting.
