Position: Master PlannerLocation: Seneca Falls NYHours: 8-5 Monday FridayPrevious Experience: 3-4 years’ experience in a production planning role in a manufacturing setting with 2 years minimum working with an ERP system, information gathering, analysis and management reporting Support sales team quotation process by establishing lead-times and premiums for all products that require less than standard lead time.Solely responsible for the initial order review that establishes the high level schedule plan for all Pump OrdersEstablish final project scheduled for Contract Managers after configuration is complete.

This often will require obtaining special commitments from Global suppliers.Interface with contract managers, CSR’s, Sales, and Customers as needed to review schedules, delays, and recovery plansManage backlog of components for pump build, with a goal to release to pump start assembly date.

Utilize reports as required that will tie pump material status / availability.

Proactively involve all suppliers to drive release on time.Expedite and re-prioritize Seneca Falls Manufacturing needs and Vendors as required.

Initiate machining out sourcing as necessitated by internal capacity.Work with buyers to balance capacity and requirements to satisfy OTP and inventory levels.Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate price and terms with suppliers and recommend based on cost, quality and delivery.Coordinate as appropriate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between manufacturing operations, QA, and suppliersManage and reconcile inventory discrepancies and supplier non-conformance issues.Obtain data, participate and present metrics and countermeasures in daily management process (GEMBA walk) 3 to 4 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing setting is requiredExperience expediting parts and products through the manufacturing processExperience participating in inventory management and lead time planning to win ordersBachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Operations Management or Engineering is requiredPlanning of foundry, machining, or fabrication areas/activities is requiredMRP experience including forecasting and stocking levels is required, SAP is preferredStrong communication skills to work with both domestic and international project teams.Strong product/parts knowledge and understanding of manufacturing, purchasing and planning processTechnical background/ability to interpret blueprintsLean inventory management processHighly organized with excellent follow-up skillsCustomer interface experience is requiredSkills and Abilities:Action oriented; Analytical;Conflict management; Critical ThinkingHigh Attention to Detail; Integrity and trust; Inventory Control Process Knowledge; Organizational skills; Problem solving;Kanban, ERP/MRP, Reorder Point Knowledge; Time management;Timely decision making; Proficient in Microsoft Office; The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities; Strong customer orientation; Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills; Excellent presentation skills; Strong team player; andCommitment to company values.
