About the Role:

The Learning and Development Instructional Specialist will be directly involved in designing instructional content for online and hybrid implementation, creating interactive media content, and building content modules in various learning systems and platforms using a variety of software applications in support of new hire training programs and ongoing course development.

What You’ll Do:

This role works closely with various colleagues to ensure a high quality and effective delivery of a broad range of learning programs. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to dig into the details, places a strong value on the quality of their work, enjoys partnering with fellow colleagues, and is eager to tackle new challenges. The Instructional Specialist needs to be a strong self-starter, actively take ownership over their assigned programs and manage their time and resources effectively. Additionally, our future colleague should have excellent communication skills, be adaptable to a variety of working styles and enjoy making work fun.

  • Design creative, interactive and impactful learning programs for the firm’s customer-facing departments, utilizing creative approaches and a range of different learning mediums. Solicit input from, and collaborate with, team members and the various learning committees.
  • Evaluate, update and maintain existing learning content, as appropriate.
  • Partner with fellow LMS system administrators/super-users to maintain user data, course data, and reporting.
  • Design “featured content” in support of various firm initiatives utlizing course authoring software platforms such as Articulate 360; ensure the content is fit-for-purpose for the intended audience from orientation into learner journeys.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the content and/or learning experience on a frequent basis.
  • Partner, collaborate and engage with the Director of Learning and Development, vendors and business stakeholders to update and amend content in the pursuit of excellence.

Your Background:

  • Bachelors or equivalent experience with a focus in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field of adult learning principles is preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience designing and implementing learning & development programs preferred (work samples required)
  • Proficiency in instructional design methods (ADDIE, HPI), eLearning applications
  • Graphic design skills and a passion for creating high-level content
  • Some experience developing measurement tools and strategies that focus on reaction to learning, knowledge transfer, application on the job, and impact

Must be proficient in the following:

  • Content authoring programs such as Articulate Course Authoring platform including Storyline 360 and Rise 360; Adobe Acrobat DC (samples required)
  • Remote training/web conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platform

COVID-19 Considerations:
Liberty Lending is currently remotely due to COVID-19, but we are asking for flexibility going forward as circumstances change and we determine to transition teams back to work in the office. The following are requirements to perform this role while working from home:
