Material Conformance Specialist:

– Responsible for day-to-day management of the MCA (Material Conformance Administration) Process.

– Enter, create, update, and maintain the work order database for non-conforming materials.

– Inventory transactions (Ex: bin to bins, issue tickets, shop to shops, reversal tickets, receipt reversals, etc.)

– Follow the MCA process according to disposition.

– Communicate with suppliers to get return information such as Return Authorization number, shipping information, shipping account numbers, etc.

– Field all questions internally and externally to expedite non-conforming material.

– Maintain records of all Work Orders and pertinent data.

– Address Immediate Action Reports and bring them to closure to clear up accounting problems with invoices.

– Address Over, Short and Damage Reports to clear up receiving inventory problems.

– Negotiate repair/replacement costs with suppliers and add these costs to the B-lines for the purchase orders.

– Coordinate extra meetings with functional departments to review their open issues.

– Obtain miscellaneous documents from suppliers to bring closure to Work Orders such as Certificates of Compliance, tracking information, credit memos, bar-code labels, etc.

– Obtain Parts Of Assemblies and any other missing items from suppliers to bring closure to Work Orders, which involves obtaining quotes, and negotiating with supplier and internal buyer (if necessary) – on price and lead time.

– Previous experience working in such positions as: inventory manager, inventory control specialist, warehouse manager, distribution center supervisor, production planner, logistics manager, procurement, SCM / supply chain management, shipping / receiving, store manager / assistant store manager, supervisor, service advisor, parts manager, etc might be useful
