Jobs in this category are responsible for accumulating and processing items that are returned by customers and those authorized for return to vendors for credit. In addition, will verify the correctness of return classifications used by associates, perform applicable system maintenance, and pack ship items to correct destinations.

Job Requirements:

  • Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority
  • Monitors shrink; takes appropriate action to minimize waste
  • Makes eye contact, smile and greet all customers that come within ten feet of you
  • Assists store associates in receiving Distribution Center (DC) deliveries
  • Ensures that food safety guidelines in storage and processing procedures are being adhered to as well as processes refrigerated goods and restaurant goods in a timely manner
  • Keeps current on preprinted 620 and type B Genco returns
  • Ensures that all Genco-eligible merchandise has Universal Product Code (UPC) scan labels
  • Makes sure merchandise area is organized and files are set up per office standardization requirements (i.e., Fed Ex and UPS logs are maintained and accurate entries are kept for credit processing)
  • Ensures credit memos are processed and keyed within 24 hours
  • Daily processing of waste buster containers, out of package and known stolen merchandise using the Inventory Unit Adjustment
  • application in the Remote Maintenance Unit (RMU)
  • Reviews reporting for type 2 Selling Price Adjustments (SPA) to ensure eligible Genco returns are not creating unnecessary

  • 16 years of age or older


  • Basic reading, writing, verbal, and arithmetic skills
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically a minimum of 20lbs, but could be as much as 100lbs
  • Repetitive standing, bending, lifting, stretching and reaching skills
  • Ability to make decisions in stressful situations
  • Knowledge of store, services and location of merchandise
