Healing made personal.Roles & Responsibilities: The Psychology Intern is a learning position in which the Intern conducts intake evaluations, individual, group and family therapy and counseling under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist.Neuropsychological testing and assessment of memory and cognitive disorders; Training and education -Attend lectures and didactics in the Neuropsychology Training Program Individual psychotherapy at OPD under supervision Admin duties associated with Neuropsychology service and psychology training program Duties: Conducts intake evaluations Provides individual, group and family therapy Provides parental counseling Provides supervision of psychology externs Attends didactic classes/seminars for trainees Conducts psychologist testing Writes psychological reports Provides case management services Prepares clinical notes and correspondent Maintains accurate, up-to-date clinical charts Participates in team meetings Requirements: Pre-doctoral Psychology Internship training as a requirement toward the PhD or PsD.

Interns learn neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy skills and educational skills to complete their required competencies as mandated by the APA for predoctoral training Master’s degree and doctoral level training in clinical or school psychology 2
– 3 years of part-time predoctoral clinical experience in a hospital setting Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area Strength Through DiversityThe Mount Sinai Health System believes that diversity is a driver for excellence.
