VP Commercial


This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted January 10, 2022.

We are looking for a Vice President, Commercial o join our Sports, Live Events, and Brands team in NYC. This role will focus on selling our market research expertise to brand marketers, researchers, and sponsors.  

We’re looking for: 

  • Grow our company through new business development, both by obtaining and retaining new clients and via current clients (new projects). This role’s remit will be brands and sports properties, working with either the advertising, marketing, research, or sponsorship departments, as well as agencies who work with brand decision makers in that space.
  • Strategically identify potential brand-side clients through diligent research, trend analysis and industry networking and then work closely and collaboratively with team Company to leverage existing relationships to access senior level decision makers
  • Participate in the strategy, crafting and presentation of Company capabilities either in response to RFPs and/or as a proactive sales and marketing strategy
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of Company’s current projects, products and services; highlight and showcase Company portfolio of project work in corporate/brand projects
  • Consult with corporate clients to investigate new potential Company service and/or product offerings
  • Research the sponsorship landscape to develop a POV on new, existing, and expired marketing partnerships across sports and entertainment
  • Independently create detailed proposals.

It’ll be helpful if you have:

  • Have 10+ years of experience working in a sales or account management role at a growing company, with experience across data science and advanced analytics
  • Hands on experience with granular TV, behavioral, and sales data as well as their application in outcome models
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, equivalent)
  • Deep understanding of statistical analysis and model development
  • Successful track record supporting client relationships through effective partnerships with internal and external client teams
  • Realize that the devil is in the details, but not lose sight of the big picture
  • Have an understanding and passion for using research to solve complex problems
  • A knack for the Socratic approach, questioning what is said in order to understand root cause. A keen listener with a consultative mind-set.
  • Have a solid existing client network of senior level marketers and analytics professionals to immediately support the agency’s expansion into new client accounts, on day 1.
  • Have a positive attitude towards change and recognizes that through change, comes opportunities for development and growth.
  • Embrace goal setting and exceeding targets.
  • Be a team player who understands that when we build together and knowledge share, we all win
  • Understand the macro issues and trends impacting both our clients’ industries and indeed the client itself.
