Business Operations and Strategy Manager – Special Projects

The role will report to the Head of Business Operations and Strategy of HomeLight Homes (HLH) and play a strategy and planning role that spans the entire business unit.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, self-starter with executive presence and the stamina to deal with the rapid pace, ambiguity, and amount of change occurring within the growing org.

You will help build and lead Business Operations, specifically high priority initiatives and Client and Agent Experience, for HLH.

This role functions as the operational counterpart to the Head of Business Operations; and will provide leadership, guidance, direction, and consistency to the organization at large.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Client and Agent Experience and key strategic projects for the Homes business line
  • Act as the operations and strategy lead on cross-business unit integration between HomeLight Homes, Home Loans, and Closing Services
  • Act as the Head of Business Operations’ counterpart and work with leaders across the company to develop and meet multi-year business plans and priorities
  • Leverage OKRs and other quantitative approaches to help create short and long term strategies for the Homes Business
  • Monitor the health Client and Agent experience of the Homes Business and make recommendations to improve
  • Inform key cross-functional decisions with operational implications and implement processes to ensure milestones are measured and met
  • Prepare and assist President of Homes and Head of Biz Ops with board presentation materials, external relations, and strategic projects
  • Help to define and launch new products and processes

What You Bring

  • 4-7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • At least 3+ years of experience working in strategy, and/or operations
  • Superb written and oral communication skills, sharp and concise presentation skills
  • Strong project management and detail-oriented organizational skills to lead high profile projects forward and efficiently leverage available resources
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a wide range of incoming requests and responsibilities
  • Ability to think strategically and challenge status quo
  • Run efficient and effective meetings
  • Player-coach: loves to be hands on, but willing to delegate
  • High EQ and ability to establish trusting relationships
  • Mission driven and passionate about prop-tech
