Summary Magnet-Designated Hospital on New York Waterfront Seeking Visible Perioperative Director to Lead Ten Operating Rooms and Multiple Units The Position Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Perioperative Director serves as a key leader on Mather Hospital’s Surgical Management Team and provides operational oversight to all clinical areas within Perioperative Services, with the assistance of 3 Managers and 1 Educator. Oversight areas include ten Operating Rooms, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Endoscopy, Pre-Surgical Testing, Ambulatory Surgery Unit, Pain Management Unit, and Sterile Processing Department. This collaborative leader will partner closely with physicians, anesthesia, and system and hospital leadership to drive patient outcomes, build employee engagement, and streamline departmental processes. Must bring 5 years of progressive perioperative nursing leadership experience in a hospital setting. Master’s degree and either a BSN or MSN required. Active nursing license required and can works towards obtaining a New York license. AORN, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
