– Job Description The Director of Trade Marketing is responsible for the strategic vision and execution of tailored 360 Go To Market plans for each retailer and contributes to driving sales and market share growth of La Mer in North America.

This role acts as the conduit between Account Management and Product & Consumer Marketing working closely with , Marketing Operations and Creative Teams.

Delivers sustainable growth plan for La Mer in respective accounts, determining where to play, how to win, and white space opportunities.

Skill Summary: Astute business manager with strong relationship building skills, financial acumen and an understanding of strategic omni marketing programs ACCOUNTABILITIES: US Strategy & Development
– Set vision for sustainable growth in the medium-to-long term; partner with retailer to build action plan to achieve vision
– Deep understanding of retailer and local market nuances to help set overall account strategy that guides category priorities, marketing campaigns, coop investment, visual merchandising, sampling, TOAs, eventing, and all other parts of the business
– Analyze key gifting and retailer event periods to examine ROI and optimal program support to amplify festival moments
– Create and present robust, strategic Go to Market retailer decks at Market Week to garner retailer buy-in and programming support.

Generate clear instruction to cross-functional teams to execute with superior execution
– Provide strategic analysis of brand portfolio and mix of business for each retailer.

Create commentary for Senior Manager Top to Top and retailer meetings
– Partner with Field and Key Account Management Team to develop best in class knowledge of consumer base and leverage Consumer Centric Catchment data to inform decisions and drive granular growth opportunities Drives Business Analysis and Monitors KPIs for Effective Allocation of Marketing Resources
– Proactively create analytically supported commercial innovation recommendations to influence sales performance and mitigate sales gaps with a laser focus on ROI
– Develop sales projections by retailer, by channel, by week to monitor progress against sales KPIs
– Drive the omni Promotional budget planning process in line with Account P & L s, allocating resources to high growth channels and initiatives.

Populate and maintain budget ensuring effective cascade of pertinent shifts, uncommitted funds for efficient budget management
– Spearhead review of Retailer Coop investment, analyzing wrap reports to leverage learnings for future campaign optimization.

Drive quest for data transparency with retailers
– Project Management and Execution drive retailer-specific omni-channel programs
– Maintain weekly side by side by channel, by retailer and Retailer Programming Grid to effectively monitor promotionality and aid in analyzing business to identify gaps and risks
– Drive the ideation and execution of all retailer facing projects harnessing cross-functional projects to drive objectives
– Collaborate with team and Consumer Engagement to develop strategies and execution tactics to deliver outsized growth and gain share
– Partner with Product Marketing to understand overarching sampling strategy and then drive the sampling, TOA and collateral planning and process bottom up per retailer, provide cadence and work with Manager of Marketing Operations to ensure accurate ship to forecast
– Collaborate with Visual Merchandising team on creating differentiated in-store experiences through unique merchandising and collateral opportunities.

Ensure clear, accurate briefing of all projects to ensure an on time, exceptional implementation.

– Collaborate with Field Executive Teams and Education to ideate and execute best in class in-store and virtual events.

Drive in-store influencer and make-up artist events in collaboration with Consumer Engagement Team.

Track and optimize tiered launch event strategies
– Ideate and work with Fast Track at PALC to develop local NA set Structure
– Organized by Account based on account priority; will manage top volume accounts
– Held to quarterly/seasonal retail sales targets for account
– Maintains brand integrity of marketing through close collaboration with Marketing Team
– Empowered to make decisions Qualifications
– Strong analytical background and solid financial acumen base (i.e., P & L management, main drivers of business, savvy with standard business analyses)
– Must have ability to think strategically, have creative vision and conceptualize and implement new ideas
– Significant marketing campaign development experience
– Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills
– Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and take complete ownership of projects
– Adept at pivoting and being agile in challenging environments
– Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with others to drive a timeline
