This role will lead and oversee the direct manufacturing operations in terms of safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery to external customers with the intent of continuous improvement and leading results to achieve sustainable plant goals.+ Ensure the shipment goals, business goals, customer requirements and production plans are achieved.+ Production plan maintenance including DSI review, align with production planner, production meeting, and Kerr chart update/demand forecasting.+ SQDIP – metrics reporting, daily management+ Action plan review – problem solving (PSP updates), root cause analysis, corrective actions.+ Audits
– Kamishibai (safety and quality), IMAG (inventory)The Production Supervisor will lead and engage employees during Kaizens to drive continuous improvements.

Ensure adherence to environmental regulations.

Lead daily management to drive sustainable, continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Productivity, On Time Delivery, and materials management.

Report necessary countermeasures and problem-solving data to management in the daily management walkthrough and reviews.

Lead day and off-shift operations and on-call responsibilities, including weekend shift coverage rotations.

Align with Team Leads and set employee expectations for the day.Collaborate with the engineering team to assure product integrity is maintained.

Document and qualify changes to product, process and equipment.

Develops work cells for product families which challenge union employees to develop state-of-the-art processes while using such items as on-line process information, cross functional job descriptions and Kanban.

Effectively facilitates through conflict to ensure listening and adherence and support differences of opinions.Effectively drive and mentor Danaher Business Systems (DBS), while championing an environment of teamwork and associate engagement.

Effectively communicates requirements using a team approach to accomplish goals and objectives of the business.

Daily management and hourly count sheets.

Performance conversations with employees.Maximize the performance of value streams by implementing and sustaining lean conversion principles in order to meet customer requirements.

Drive training programs implemented through standard work practices that enable value streams to meet business requirements.

Provides input for capital expenditures for new equipment and facilities.+ Bachelor’s Degree with 2
– 5 years of work-related experience, an associate degree with five years of related work experience or 10 years of manufacturing leadership responsibility.+ 2+ years of experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies.+ Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.Position Competencies:+ Leadership: Work on the shop floor; ability to influence decision making with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives, bring teams to agreement.

Innovative and effective solution development, risk mitigation and execution.
