THE ROLE

At Movers+Shakers, our mission is to spread joy.

As a Senior Account Director, your mission is to lead your teams, and share this joy with our clients–from every meeting through every campaign.

As a senior member of the Client Services team, you’ll manage, mentor and coach an assigned client services team of Account Managers and are responsible for building and leading a high performing team that drives client delight and project excellence at every level.

Under your purview will be the ongoing and new development of client relationships, supervision of account activities and team care and growth, maintaining consistent and organic client growth, while also supporting net new project revenue.

You will also work with leaders in other departments to refine, perfect and offer best practices of Movers + Shakers methodology, and you’ll use your deep understanding of social media strategy to support the premium level of work we are accustomed to.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for managing, growing, and delivering joy to lead Anchor or Multiple Brand accounts with a book of business from $6-$10M per year 

• Provide the highest level of strategic leadership to clients in helping them to meet their business objectives 

• Understand clients’ business and competitive landscape and evangelize it to the team

• Work closely with the client(s) to understand their business challenge(s), and the solution(s) that M+S has crafted

• Lead and support your Account Team in implementing these solutions

• Work closely with Creative and Strategy teams to define account strategies and translate these strategies into tactical implementations

• Work with Department Leaders to assure communications between teams are clear , effective and efficient 

• Lead Strategic Account Growth and Planning

• Serve as an advisor to the client by articulating account strategies, acting as a sounding board, and offering suggestions that are in line with these account strategies

• Identify and close opportunities to organically growth work within the account and work with clients to further expand Movers + Shakers capabilities

• Attend client meetings as necessary; high-level presence and accountability to brand leads and executives

• Mentor and coach Account Teams to facilitate continued growth and development

• Develop and maintain annual, quarterly and monthly revenue forecasts and projections

• Track and manage pipeline, revenue, contracts, invoicing, profitability and customer satisfaction to meet or exceed established goals

• Review account plans with Account Managers, leadership, and client team members consistently

• As necessary, provide subject matter expertise and assist in proposal development for new client acquisitions

• Participate as needed for intake, new business needs and outbound efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years experience in an account services/marketing role such as Account Director, Group Account Director or Senior Director with at least 10 years in a management role

• Experience and examples in building, managing and motivating a high performing team

• Measurable growth and retention track record

• Highly developed skill in communication, polish and presence

• Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies, plans and programs in digital, social media, and brand marketing

• Build respect by personal example; is respected by and works effectively with all members of the organization and external contacts

• Skill working directly with top-level client executives

• Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)

• Facility setting and holding boundaries and leading difficult conversations, setting parameters and managing client expectations

• Very high levels of flexibility and creativity for solving problems

• Proven new business or revenue generation experience (both outbound and inbound)

• Intense desire to excel in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment

• Exceptional organizational skills
