Qualifications:

• Experience leading in a technical commercial HVAC environment

• Must be a proactive leader with a proven track record of leading, developing and coaching employees

• Strong business acumen including a solid understanding of service contracts, an eye for detail and superior customer service skills

• Possess a high level of initiative coupled with the intuition to make sound decisions quickly

• Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software

• Superior interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others

• Excellent oral and written communication skills; detail oriented organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple objectives and properly prioritize workload

Job Requirements:

Primary Responsibility

The function of the Service Manager is to grow an existing Service Business through the sale of projects and maintenance contracts to accounts and lead and develop service personnel such as technicians, coordinators and administrative personnel. The Service Manager will be responsible for obtaining the work through a subordinate sales organization and assure the work is completed on time, within budget and to the customer’s satisfaction and account for the work in an accurate and timely manner .

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

  • Redeem the annual booking plan for the service operating unit through the sale of projects and automatically renewable maintenance contracts

  • Recruit, hire, lead, coach and develop service personnel

  • Develop annual operating plans in conjunction with the VP/General Manager.

  • Redeem annual operating plan

  • Effectively manage subordinates through coaching and mentoring

  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts as scheduled

  • Organization and maintain the accuracy of all records, reports, logs and data required to operate and manage the service business

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all fellow employees, prospects, customers, and vendors and always represent the Company and yourself in a very positive and professional manner

  • Understand customer organization and decision making processes to effectively participate in sales strategy development and presentations

  • Establish escalation policies to assure customer retention while maintaining profit objectives

  • Assure that all customers pay their invoices on time. Personally follow up on all receivables
